The Scottish Government published Scotland’s route map through and out of the crisis last Thursday which sets out a strategy to deliver the phases by which the COVID-19 lockdown arrangements will be eased.

The First Minister has now confirmed that angling is included amongst the outdoor activities allowable under phase 1 with effect from Friday 29 May, and updated guidance on travel has now been produced (see the paragraph on Travel for exercise, recreation and to meet friends and family outdoors).

FMS have therefore updated their angling resumption guidance on our COVID-19 webpage to ensure that it is consistent with the phase 1 lifting of restrictions and the new travel guidelines.
