River Deveron, Scotland
The Corniehaugh and Mains of Mayen beats feature double bank fishing for six rods over 1.7 miles, including 17 named pools. Both riverbanks are well maintained with easy access to the water.
The beats have two huts opposite of each other – one on each bank – with easy vehicle access along well made up tracks with cooking facilities BBQs and a WC. There is a boat to ferry anglers across the river between the fishing huts.
Salmon of 15lbs to 20lbs have been caught on Silver Ali’s, Cascades, Sonny Deverons (our ghillie Geoff’s own creation), Executioner and Editors. This beat is also renowned for its sea trout fishing averaging 4lbs and good brown trout in the spring.
A knowledgeable full time ghillie, qualified as a fly fishing instructor, is available.
